The Duros Group of Companies is aiming for a full-blast expansion by bolstering business operations through the acquisition of new technology and diversification efforts, from industrial operations to incorporating agri-poultry farming.
Full diversification and expansion are among the key highlights emphasized by Duros Group Chairman Rafaelito A. Barino during the 12th State of Duros Address (SODA) today, January 3, held at The Woodlands Event Pavilion, Yati, Liloan, Cebu.
In his speech, Barino proudly shared the success stories of their family’s flagship businesses, such as the Duros Development Corporation and Duros Land Properties Inc. (DLPI).
“These are two big family businesses nga nag dominate karon among the Duros Group of Companies nga we were able to establish from 1987 up to this time,” Barino said.
Barino also shared in his address that they already have a lineup of projects in the pipeline set to commence in the early quarters of 2025. He added that DLPI has significant plans as it moves forward with its expansion beyond Liloan, now extending to the northern areas and soon to the southern part of Cebu.
During his talk, Barino happily told the audience that the Barino-Mantuhac family is growing and his aim is to develop and train the new generation of his family.
“As a leader in the family business, I would like to share the secret which we are trying to develop. By the grace of God, a pamilyang Barino-Mantuhac is expanding [growing] also. And we are really trying to develop more young leaders…The second generation also is already onboard. I think, right now, there are more responsible second generation nga naa na onboard sa lain-laing namong members of Duros Group of Companies,” Barino mentioned.
In his remarks, Barino highlighted the state-of-the-art golf course in Liloan as one of their most significant accomplishments. He noted that it has played a key role in putting Liloan on the global map as a premier destination in the Philippines for both foreign and local visitors.
Barino expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his family, banking partners, government agencies, and the local government officials of the Municipality of Liloan for their unwavering trust and support for various projects and initiatives.
Present during the State of Duros Address were representatives and teams from Duros Development Corporation, DurosLand Properties, Duros Hotels Incorporated, San-Vic Agro Builders, and San-Vic Traders Inc. Other attendees included representatives from Cebu Eco Thermal Horizon Inc., Cebu Green Peaks Development Inc., Divine Life Institute of Cebu Inc., First Equestrian Property Management Corp., San-Vic Food Chain Corporation, and the RFB Foundation, all expressing their support for Chairman Barino.
As of today, the group has successfully established 13 business companies. Barino emphasized their continued focus on diversification and expansion in the coming years.
